Safety
SAFETY IS NUMBER ONE!!! WE WILL NOT TOLERATE INFRACTIONS.
1st OFFENSE: Verbal warning
2nd OFFENSE: You will be asked to leave the event.
Safety Test: After weigh-in you will be asked to put your robot in the arena & do the
following functional test:
1. Turn on transmitter
2. Turn on robot ( not weapon(s))
3. Drive robot toward official, then turn off transmitter. Robot should stop.
4. Repeat test for any active weapon(s).
ACTIVE WEAPONS CAPABLE OF CAUSING HARM TO A HUMAN MUST DEACTIVATE WHEN SIGNAL IS LOST!!
Frequency Control
We will use the clothespin method, one pin per frequency including toy 27/49 MHz.
72 MHz is not allowed. Alternate frequencies are highly desired & maybe the basis for forfeiture of a match. NO ONE WILL BE ALLOWED TO POWER UP A TRANSMITTER WITHOUT CHECKING OUT A CLIP. See above safety statement above.
Rules
We will use the RFL rule set, with a few unique rules to our event.
Power indicator desired, weapon power switch not necessary
.Autonomous weight bonus 50%, 100% for true walker, 50% for shuffler. All classification at the discretion of the EO.
Format to be determined after registration is far along; Round robin, RR/Single elimination final, Double elimination. But anyway, lots of fights.
Arena rules: One free "pushout" over the bumper. Referee will stop the match & you’ll be put back in the competition area. Second pushout is a loss. Pins will have a 5 count, then robots must disengage.
